Drawings

Here's a couple of sketches I did last night when I got bored:

Boris

I tried to draw Boris Karloff as "The Mummy". I think the shadow under the nose makes him look too much like Hitler. FAIL.

Frankie

Frankenstein's Monster. There's something off about this one too. I'm not sure what it is though.

I was attempting to go for simplicity…fewer lines and stuff. I wanted it to look more cartoonish. I can never do that for some reason. I think I did better with the Frank picture but it's still not quite as simple as I saw it in my head. I guess that comes with practice.

Game 2 over! Hairston scores the winner in the 13th.

I really love this picture that Kristin took. I think it really sums up Lebowski Fest.

Neglect and the night shift.

Over a month since my last post…nice! Why do I even keep up anymore?

I'm back on the night shift. The fourth quarter of the year has become "night shift quarter" for me it seems. I think it's been that way for the last three years at least. I used to not be too terribly bothered by working nights. I didn't have to be around a lot of people. I was left to my own devices and not bothered. It was a bit of a break. Of course this was prior to some changes that have been made. Before, there was another person working with you all night which helped break up the monotony. Now, I'm here all by myself covering two departments worth of work. Weekends are the absolute worst. I work twelve hour shifts on weekends so I'm here for 22 hours with no one else to talk to (unless you count customers and vendors…which I do not). It makes for an incredibly boring and lonely time.

So what to do? I'm going to write here more. There will probably be an increase in my tweets and tumblr posts. Movie, music, book, and media consumption will definitely see a sharp increase. Maybe, just maybe, it'll be good for me.
